Krystle Evans

As a Crenshaw High School (Los Angeles, Ca) standout student-athlete, she accepted a scholarship to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). A career ending knee-injury led Krystle to counseling high school students for the Vice Provost for Pre-College Scholars. While at UCLA she was a Blue and Gold Scholar, McNair Scholar, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with an emphasis on U.S. Government. Her distinguished service and outstanding achievements have been recognized by numerous professional, civic, and church organizations on the local, state, and national levels. Some of her awards include: Distinguished Public Service Award, LAUSD Trailblazer Award, Marguerite LaMottes’ Rosa Parks Leadership Award, SHEroes of the Present, Distinguished Counselor of the Year, and the Superior Service Award.

Coach Evans coached with Coach Woods for 4 seasons at View Park High School before coming to Southwest.

Coach Evans is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is the Founder/CEO of Mahogany Madness, Inc.

Goal(s) for the season: "To teach our players sound fundamentals, intelligent handling of relationships, a sound system of play, and to instill in them the desire to win.”
