Los Angeles - With a strong start going on a 5-0 run verses ranked Long Beach City Vikings four minutes into play was short lived as the LASC women's basketball team fell 76-42 at Thomas G. Lakin Physical Education Center Friday night.
The Cougars are now 3-11 overall and 1-3 in South Coast - South play while the Vikings currently 4-0 in conference play continue their 9 game winning streak.
Ragged play saw the Cougars hit just 29 percent from the field, while they also recorded zero assists on their 15 field goals. Callahan led LASC with 14 points while Bealer chipped in 10.
Benton led LBCC with 16 points while Goodsell finished with 12, Davis with 11, and Logan with 10.
The Cougars stay home for their next two SCC-South contests, hosting El Camino on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. in Thomas G. Lakin Center. The homestand continues Friday, Jan. 24 verses Mt. Sac at 5 p.m.
