Los Angeles, CA - The LASC Women's Basketball team starts off their second half of conference play with a five game winning streak. Ending the first half with a win verses Compton Tartars, the Lady Cougars continued by sweeping the El Camino Warriors (52-46), over coming East Los Angeles at home after losing to them during first half of conference play (69-74), sweeping LA Trade Tech, an exciting game, winning by only a mere point (58-57), and ending the week by beating the currently ranked 20th team in the state the Cerritos Falcons in OT (67-60).

Long Beach, CA/ Los Angeles, CA - The LASC women's basketball team faced a tough schedule with No. 1 ranked Mt. San Antonio and No. 6th ranked Long Beach City College. Even with an impressive win verses 11th ranked Pasadena City College, the Cougars could not hold off the aggressive LBCC Vikins and the undefeated in conference play Mt. San Antonio Woodsmans.
Highlight for the week is Cranesha Jennings, averaged 30.5 points for the week, shooting 48.5% from the field and 45% from the 3-point, with an average 5.5 rebounds.

Fullerton, CA/ Los Angeles, CA - The Lady Cougars split this week with a loss verses Cerritos College (73-61) and a win verses the 11th ranked Pasadena City College (84-81).
Highlights include Tierra Robinson 18 points and 14 rebounds vs. Cerritos and three Lady Cougars in double digit scoring vs. 11th ranked Pasadena City College; Tinesha Ducksworth ended up with 11 rebounds and 14 points, Cranesha Jennings with her third 30 plus scoring, Carmen Bealer season high 15 points and 4 rebounds.

Los Angeles, CA - The LASC women's basketball team fully understood the concept of good defense in their win verse LA Trade Tech. The Lady Courgars only gave up 25 points in the first half and then an impressive 20 points in the second. The Lady Tech's were no match for the feisty Cougars as Camern Bealer led the pack with 6 steals and Samone Kelly with 5, respectfully.
Cranesha Jennings lead all scores with 17, shooting 46% from the field. Samantha Norfleet contributed with 10 points shooting 66% from the field. Tierra Robinson grabbed her 6th double double of the season with 12 rebounds and 15 points while Tinesha Ducksworth grabbed her 4th double double of the season ending the night with a solid 10 rebounds and 12 points, respectfully.

Monterey Park, CA - With great point production from Cranesha Jennings leading the Lady Cougars with a career high of 31 points, it was not enough to beat their conference opponent the East Los Angeles Huskies. Now 1-1 in confernce play, the LASC women's basketball team looks forward to grabing another win at home vs. LA Trade Janurary 4th. Happy Holidays and GOOOOO Courgars!!!!!

Los Angeles - The LASC women's basketball team came out strong vs. West Los Angeles College leading at the half. WLAC, however, came back fighting outscoring the Lady Cougars by 15 points in the second half and grabbing the win.
Tirerra Robinson lead the night with her 5th double double of the season, 22 points and 14 rebounds. Tinesha Ducksworth also contributed with her 3rd double double of the season, 13 rebounds and 14 points. Cranesha Jennings lead the guards in scoring with 16 points.

Los Angeles - The Lady Cougars started their 2012-2013 South Coast Conference play at home with a win verses El Camino. With close scoring for much of the game, Warriors 27 to Cougars with 30 at the half, the El Camino Warriors could not keep the Lady Cougars off the boards (49).
The inside game lead the Cougar pack, Tinesha Ducksworth and Tierra Robinson both with double double's for the night. Tierra grabbed her 4th double double with 11 points and 14 rebounds while Tinesha received her 2nd double double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Cranesha Jennings lead all scores with 18. Contribution included Carmen Bealer with a season high of 11 points and Samone Kelly off the bench lead in assists with 5.

Valley Glen - The LASC women's basketball team came on top this pasted weekend beating the Fullerton Hornets for the third consecutive time in the LAVC - Russell Classic Tournament consolation championship game! With their first loss verses Riverside (44-51), putting the Lady Cougars in the consolation bracket, the Cougars came out with determination going on a two win streak first beating Victory Valley (62-54) and then Fullerton (65-49) for consolation championship.
Tournament highlights include All-Tournament Tierra Robinson with three double doubles and a season high of 23 points vs. Victory Valley, Tinesha Ducksworth grabbing 18 rebounds vs. Riverside, Samantha Norfleet season high of 12 points vs. Fullerton.

Cypress - The LASC women's basketball team came out fighting for their first game of the 29th Annual Cypress Tournament leading for the first five minutes vs. American River. The Lady Cougars, however, could not keep the lead for the reminder of the game and received their second loss of the season.
Samone Kelly lead all scores with a season high of 18 points.
The Lady Cougars look for their consolation win vs. Grossmount at 3:00pm December 1, 2012.

Fullerton - With only two LASC Cougars in double digits scoring, the LASC women's basketball team started off their Thanksgiving holiday giving thanks for a 53-47 win verses the Fullerton Hornets on Wednesday evening, Nov. 21 in the Riley Gymnasium. The Cougars lead the whole game but the Hornets came out of the first half fighting, outscoring the Lady Cougars in the second half.
Cranesha Jennings lead all scores with a season high of 21 points and Tinesha Ducksworth helped with her second double double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Santa Barbara - With a win against Fullerton College, the Lady Cougars were feeling good going into the Santa Barbara City College Bash by the Beach tournament championship game verses the home team SBCC. The Lady Cougars (1-1) fell short in the loss, committing a slew of unforced turnovers (36).
Cranesha Jennings led with 18 points with 4-10 shooting, while Tierra Robinson put up a double double with 14 points and 15 rebounds off the bench. Tinesha Ducksworth helped with 11 rebounds, and Briejonea Hatter put in 8 points.

Santa Barbara - The LASC women's basketball team 2012-2013 season gets underway this weekend on the road in beautiful Santa Barbara for SBCC's Bash by the Beach tournament. With the first game verses Fullerton College a victory, the Lady Cougars look to face the winner between SBCC and Glendale Saturday, November 10 at 5:00pm.
With all the first game jitters out, the Lady Cougars pull away a 72 to 55 win verses last years 6th ranked Fullerton College.
Cranesha Jennings lead all scorers with 18 points while Tierra Robinson and Briejonea Hatter helped with 16 and 14, respectfully.

Los Angeles - Our Lady Cougars out to see the professionals in action as the Los Angeles Sparks clinch the second seed in the Western Conference and face the San Antonio Silver Stars for the first round of the 2012 WNBA Playoffs. The game was a fight until the end with the LA Sparks victorious!

Los Angeles - LASC women's basektball headed their first fundraising event of the year getting a taste of Hollywood's "Lights, Camera, Action!" The Lady Cougars did an audience sitin for Comedy Central's sitcome Key and Peele Show.
