PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES – PROGRAM OF STUDY
A Program of Study identifies the pathway a student might take to complete a Skills Certificate (SC), Certificate of Achievement (CA), an Associate of Arts degree (AA), Associate of Science degree (AS), Associate of Arts Transfer (AST) degree, Associate of Science Transfer Degree (AST), or transfer to a four-year college or university. Each Program of Study defines the Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) to be achieved.
Los Angeles Southwest College offers the following Programs of Study in this Department:
PLO 1 - Students who have previously indicated "Undecided" for their major will select, or identify a major of their choice, within their first year.
PLO 2 - Students will learn how to select the appropriate courses for their major and educational goal.
Counseling (formerly Personal Development)
PLO 1 - Identify and explain at least 5 campus resources.
PLO 2 - Go through the Financial Aid process.
