Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS)
EOPS program's primary goal is to encourage the enrollment, retention and transfer of students handicapped by language, social, economic and educational disadvantages, and to facilitate the successful completion of their goals and objectives in college.

- Priority registration
- Academic and personal counseling

EOPS Eligibility Requirements
- Eligibility for the California Board of Governors’ Grant (BOGG)
- California residency
- Have NOT completed English 101 and Math 125
- Have NOT completed 50 units or have an AA/AS degree
EOPS Program Requirements
- Enrolled in at least 12 units
- Enrolled in or have completed a personal development class
- Maintain a GPA of at least 2.0
- Must agree to enroll in english and math courses each semester until degree requirements have been met
- Must declare a major no later than the end of their second semester
- Must develop and follow a student education plan (SEP) each semester
- Must meet with an EOPS counselor at least three times per semester
- Must attend an EOPS orientation and complete all paperwork

Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE)
CARE is a supplemental component of EOPS that specifically assists students, who are single heads of welfare households with young children, with supportive services as they acquire the education, training and marketable skills needed to transition from welfare-dependency to employment and eventual self-sufficiency for their families.

CARE Eligibility Requirements
- Be an EOPS student
- Single head of household
- Have a child under 14 years old
- Be a TANF/AFDC (cash aid) recipient
