Program Facts:

The United States Department of Education TRiO Programs helps students overcome, class, social and cultural barriers to higher education.

 

Purpose: To provide low-income, potential first generation college students with programs and services that will allow them to better understand and pursue educational opportunities and options and to be competitive in their quest for post-secondary education and beyond.

Educational Talent Search program provides academic support and educational services for students who are low-income and  or first-generation potential college students. Also, to students who aspire to re-enter high school, complete the GED program, or complete the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE). The age limitations are from 11-27.

 

The following available services and activities will help eligible TS pariticipants overcome educational, cultural, and social challenges, to better prepare them for admissions into a post-secondary educational program.
