The goal of Plant Facilities is to support the college's mission statement and vision by maintaining a comfortable, bright, and positive atmosphere that will promote a healthy environment to encourage student learning and success.
Operations
The Operations Department's custodian services and gardeners clean and maintain all campus buildings, grounds, pathways, roadways, and landscaped areas.
Operations department provide services on two shifts:
- A-Shift is from 4:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Early B Shift is from noon to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Late B Shift is from 3:30 p.m. to midnight Monday through Friday
Maintenance
The Maintenance Department oversees all safety and health regulations and procedures, maintains utility infrastructure systems, electricity, plumbing, gas, heating, cooling and ventilation, domestic and irrigation water systems, building maintenance, repairs and upgrades, including graffiti removal, interior, and exterior painting and locksmith services.
Maintenance Department works from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
To request the services of Maintenance or Operations staff, complete a Work Order Request through the LACCD portal.
Emergency requests can be left on office phones during regular and after hours at (323) 241-5060 and/or left at the campus sheriff’s substation at (323) 241-5311.
