Career & Technical Education at Los Angeles Southwest College aims to serve the critical lifelong knowledge, training and skill development needs of individuals, organizations, and the community. We do this through certificate programs, continuing education, degree-related programs and community initiatives that support economic and workforce development.

We offer over 60 Certificate Programs with a variety of options to choose from. The future for your career has arrived.

  • Alignment. Effective alignment between high-quality CTE programs and the labor market needs to equip students with 21st-century skills and prepare them for in-demand occupations in high-growth industry sectors.
  • Collaboration. Strong collaborations among secondary and postsecondary institutions, employers, and industry partners to improve the quality of CTE programs.
  • Accountability. Meaningful accountability for improving academic outcomes and building technical and employability skills in CTE programs with targeted recruiting, curriculum and program development with technology that supports it, and wraparound student support services.

Business is booming, and we can give you the competitive edge with the knowledge and skills you’ll need to thrive in this ever-expanding field.


Allied Health – Credit - CNA/HHA
LASC offers a 10-week program with everything you need to become eligible for State certification and employment as a Nursing Assistant or Health Home Aide in long-term care facilities settings.
