On February 21, 2024, President Joe Biden held a press event in Culver City for his Cancelling Student Debt program. LASC Professor Jessica Saint-Paul represented AFT Guild 1521's Student Loan Debt Relief program. The program will provide more than $1.2 billion in debt relief to over 150,000 student borrowers.
