Careers for a Cause

Los Angeles Southwest College Careers for a Cause (C4C) Social Services Employment Training Program is accepting applications from June 24, 2004 - August 1, 2024.

C4C is an 8-week training program for individuals with lived homelessness, re-entry, or other experiences of marginalization.  Individuals accepted into the program will receive occupational therapy, case management, and supportive services to ensure successful training completion and job placement in the homeless or social services industry.

The C4C training will be held in person from August 26 - October 18, 2024 at Los Angeles Southwest College. 

Program Requirements

  • ​​​​​​18 years or older
  • L.A. County resident
  • Lived experience in homelessness and/or justice system impacted
  • Interest in becoming a Community Health Worker or a Peer Support Specialist
