President's Priorities
The LASC President's Office has a number of priorities aligned with the College's Strategic Education Master Plan. This page is updated monthly with additional information in regard to the progress of the college.
Below is additional information on the different initiatives being pursued including the College's ongoing fiscal recovery, IEPI activities, inclusion, diversity, equity, and ant-racism (IDEA) initiatives, and enrollment growth. The President also launched the prestigious President's Change Leaders Program to build strong relationships with community partners supporting LASC students and campus community.

Priorities
In consultation with the classified professionals of LASC, the campus applied for and was selected to be a part of the Caring Campus Initiative in 2022. Below are the documents pertaining to this powerful activity to enhance the student-centered culture of our campus while empowering our classified professionals.
LASC is in the process of launching a Family Resource Center on-campus. This will be a center to support our student parents with an array of services. Please check back for updates on this exciting venture!

The College successfully applied for and was awarded the Predominantly Black Institution Grant from the Department of Education. Grant monies will go toward enhancing LASC’s efforts to create a college-going culture from an early age, provide focused professional development and curricular activities that enhance the Black student experience inside and outside of the classroom, and build a sustainable legacy of funding to support Black students through the establishment of a significant endowment and expand the College’s fundraising capacity. LASC will receive $352,289 each year until 2025, totaling $1,761,445.
